Go to Dismissal Settings → General Settings. These settings change how the day works for families and duty staff.
Authorised Pickup Contacts
Who is allowed to collect students. By default it's all connected contacts. You can narrow it by relationship, by permission (Approved Contact), and by Family App account status.
Allow authorised contacts to designate their own pickup contacts (on by default). This lets parents send a one-time pickup QR code to someone else. See Pickup QR codes and designated pickup contacts.
Parent Dismissal Changes
Allow parents to change default schedule (the weekly plan). On by default.
Allow parents to change a single day. On by default.
If a toggle is off, parents can't make that kind of change. The Family App tells them to contact the school. Nothing is sent to the school for approval. It's simply blocked, and a staff member makes the change instead.
Arrival Confirmation
Allow authorised contacts to self announce (off by default). When it's off, staff must scan the parent's QR code. When it's on, parents get an I have arrived button.
Dismissal Verification
Signature Required (off by default). When it's on, staff must collect a signature from the adult when dismissing a Picked up student. Orah won't let them dismiss without one.
