Boardingware evolves to Orah

Why Orah?

The name Orah derives from the Māori word ‘Ora’ which is defined as;

1. (verb) to be alive, well, safe, cured, recovered, healthy, fit, healed.

We believe that this new name is in line with the direction we would like to take the company – it’s more than a rebrand. This is the launch of our platform, the industry’s first Student Enablement Platform.

Orah is for schools that are determined to help each and every student reach their full potential. This is a collaborative process that requires the input and assistance of students, parents, and staff and it means eliminating the tedious (but necessary!) work and spending more time enhancing relationships and experiences on and off-campus.

When will the change happen?

Starting on July 1, 2021, Boardingware will become Orah - the student enablement platform.

How will this impact me as a user?

Very little! For our existing users, the experience will remain just about the same - with a different name and logo.

You will be able to access the web-based application at app.orah.com and mobile apps will automatically update with the Orah name and logo upon your next app update.

What do I need to do to prepare?

We recommend informing your staff, parents, and students know about the upcoming changes. We've even written an email template for you to use to explain what they can expect.

We have recently pushed out an announcement directed at the IT department regarding technical changes - you can find this information here. However, we do recommend that you check with your school's IT department to ensure they received this and that they know to whitelist the orah.com website and emails coming from @orah.com addresses

We would also like to note that our support@boardingware.com email address will change to support@orah.com. Our Help Centre will also have updated articles, links, and a new website link; success.orah.com on July 1st. With this being said, please ensure internal documentation on Boardingware/ Orah is updated to reflect this - we don't want to miss any of your questions or feedback.
