Part 5: Final Step: Review & Go-Live

Before you officially launch Orah to your broader school community, run through this final checklist. This ensures your data is accurate, your staff is prepared, and your hardware is ready for the first day of "Live" operations.

Updated over a week ago

1. Integration & Data Sync

Verify that the bridge between Facts and Orah is solid.

  • Sync Check: Run a manual sync and confirm that the student and staff counts in Orah match Facts.

  • Field Mapping: Spot-check five students to ensure their Year Level, Contacts, and Advisor information are appearing correctly.

  • Reason Mapping: Confirm that every Orah "Absence Reason" is mapped to the correct corresponding code in Facts.

2. User Access & Permissions

Ensure everyone has the keys to the areas they need.

  • Staff Roles: Confirm that "Attendance Managers" have administrative rights and "Teachers/Staff" have the correct view-only or pass-approval rights.

  • SSO Test: Have one staff member log in using their Facts credentials to confirm the Single Sign-On (SSO) is functional.

  • Parent Invites: Check that the parent email invitations have been triggered or that your Public Request Link is active.

3. Workflow & Logic Testing

Run a "Dry Run" of your daily activities.

  • Pass Rules: Create a test "Late Arrival" pass to ensure it follows the approval rules you set.

  • Alert Triggers: Verify that a notification is sent when a test student hits a set attendance threshold (e.g., 3 consecutive absences).

  • Kiosk Mode: If using hardware, ensure the iPad/Kiosk is in "Guided Access" mode and the Orah app is logged into the correct Checkpoint.

4. Communications & Support

Make sure your community knows where to go for help.

  • Parent Resources: Ensure the Orah Parent Guide and the Help Center link have been sent to families.

  • Internal Support: Identify who on your staff is the "Internal Admin" for Orah questions before they are escalated to Orah Support.
