Part 2: Teacher & Admin Experience

Now that the logic is configured, this phase focuses on the daily interaction with the platform—from the teacher taking the roll to the administrator overseeing the entire school's status.

Updated this week

1. Taking Attendance

Teachers have three flexible ways to mark rolls, ensuring they can capture data regardless of their workflow.

  • On the Web: Use the full Orah dashboard for a complete view of the classroom, including seating charts and student profiles.

  • Orah Browser Extension: Mark rolls directly from a sidebar without leaving your SIS or other open tabs.

  • Mobile App: Ideal for PE, excursions, or outdoor activities—mark rolls quickly from a phone or tablet.

2. Attendance Insights

Once the rolls are marked, administrators can move from data entry to data analysis.

  • Trend Identification: Spot patterns in student behavior, such as students who are frequently late on Monday mornings or missing specific periods.

  • School-Wide Analytics: View attendance percentages by year level, house, or custom student groups.

  • Actionable Reporting: Export detailed reports for compliance or pastoral meetings to discuss student engagement trends.

Now that you understand how to mark rolls and view insights, the next part covers Absence reconciliation.
