This article explains why "Excused" and "Unexcused" labels do not appear on attendance records in the Orah Families App.
This is expected behaviour. Orah has removed the Excused and Unexcused classification flags from the parent-facing view in the Families App. Parents will only see the reason name (e.g. "Sick", "Sports Trip") without the excused/unexcused classification attached.
This simplification reduces confusion for parents. The excused/unexcused distinction is an internal administrative classification used by staff — it is not relevant information for parents to see.
Staff and administrators continue to see the full excused/unexcused classification on all attendance records as normal. This change only affects the parent view in the Families App.
