This step decides the pickup spot for each day. If every student shows the same spot on the board, this step usually hasn't been done.
Step 5: Set each student's weekly plan
Go to Dismissal Settings → Default Student Schedule and open a student. You'll see:
Assigned Dismissal Schedule: the schedule they're on.
Daily Overrides: Monday to Sunday, each set to a transport option. This is where Monday can be Science wing car and Wednesday can be Front circle pickup.
Dismissal note (optional, if your school uses notes): a standing note that duty staff see during dismissal and when they scan. See Dismissal notes.
When you pick a different transport for a day, Orah asks you to confirm straight away ("Change student default transport — Default transport options will be set for future dismissals."). Click Confirm, then Save.
Who changed a day?
In the table and the editor, a day that someone has changed shows a tag such as Admin Override or Parent Override, with how long ago it was changed (for example "Admin Override 1M ago"). Days with no tag simply follow the schedule's default transport.
Updating lots of students at once
Use the Import and Export buttons on the Default Student Schedule toolbar. The import window lets you download the Orah template, fill it in, upload it, and review matches before anything is saved.
Tip: If the table looks out of date after making changes, do a hard refresh of your browser.
