How to Stop Receiving Orah Notifications After Your School Offboards

Step-by-step instructions for users to stop receiving Orah notifications after their school has discontinued the service, including account settings, email unsubscribe, and account deactivation options.

Overview

If your school is no longer using Orah but you're still receiving notifications (attendance reminders, pass alerts, etc.), you can stop them using the methods below.

Method 1: Disable Notifications in Your Account

If you still have access to your Orah account:

  1. Log in to Orah at app.orah.co

  2. Click your profile icon (top right)

  3. Go to Settings → Notifications

  4. Disable all notification types:

    • Email notifications

    • SMS notifications

    • Push notifications

    • Attendance reminders

  5. Click Save Changes

Method 2: Unsubscribe from Emails

All Orah notification emails include an unsubscribe link:

  1. Open any Orah notification email

  2. Scroll to the bottom

  3. Click Unsubscribe

  4. Confirm you want to stop receiving emails

Method 3: Request Account Deactivation

If your school has fully offboarded and you need your account removed:

  1. Contact Orah Support at support@orah.com

  2. Include:

    • Your name and email address

    • Your school name

    • Confirmation that your school no longer uses Orah

  3. Support will deactivate your account within 1-2 business days

Mobile App Notifications

To stop push notifications from the Orah mobile app:

iOS (iPhone/iPad)

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications → Orah

  2. Toggle Allow Notifications to Off

  3. Or uninstall the app if no longer needed

Android

  1. Go to Settings → Apps → Orah

  2. Tap Notifications

  3. Toggle off all notification categories

  4. Or uninstall the app if no longer needed

Still Receiving Notifications?

If notifications continue after 48 hours, please contact support@orah.com with:

  • Screenshot of the notification

  • Date/time you disabled notifications

  • Type of notification (email, SMS, push)
