đš A written overview of this feature is available in Orah's product changelog: Set Up Divisions Once, Use Everywhere.
What are Divisions?
Divisions are the parts of your school that run differently â for example, Lower, Middle and Upper School. You set them up once in the Admin Console, and Orah uses them to tailor attendance, calendars and other settings for each division. The divisions list is the foundation for every division-aware feature, so setting it up now avoids rework later.
đ§ Navigate: Admin Console â Divisions
Setting up your divisions
Open Divisions in the Admin Console.
Review the list and sync it from your SIS.
Add, rename or deactivate divisions so they match your school's structure.
Assign each division its operational calendar â see Setting Up Your Operational Calendar.
What you can do
Add, rename, deactivate and reactivate divisions.
Delete a division only if it has no students and didn't come from your SIS.
SIS-synced divisions (Blackbaud, Veracross or FACTS) show that integration's logo.
If you rename a synced division, Orah keeps your name on future syncs and still shows the original SIS title for reference.
Features that use divisions
Operational calendars â each division can have its own school days and start and end times. See Setting Up Your Operational Calendar.
Roll types by division â choose a roll type per class type and per division. See Attendance - General Settings.
