Integration frequency

Core data - students, contacts etc

Core data such as student, contact, staff, houses and groups normally syncs nightly if configured to do so (automatic sync has been enabled).

Users can also force a manual update from within integration settings.

Attendance insights data

When the attendance insights platform is configured to use Blackbaud as a data source, the sync runs hourly during the school day. A nightly update is also run.

There is no manual option to force an additional sync.

Attendance data write back

Attendance data sent from Orah back to Blackbaud is collected in Orah and sent every 15mins from Orah to Blackbaud. There may be quite a lot of data in each sync during school hours and it may take 5mins for this sync to complete, so users should assume that attendance records should at most be 20mins behind.

Attendance Insights data does not match Blackbaud

Limitations on the amount of historical data Orah can sync regularly will impact historical edits to attendance data in your school information system.
Note that this issue only applies when attendance is not taken in Orah.

Orah syncs all attendance records for the past 7 days and so any edits & amendments made in that date range will be picked up in the next regular sync.

When making changes to attendance records outside of that date range, this information will not automatically be reflected in Orah.

One option to re-sync all attendance data is to change the date in the 'sync attendance history from' field in the 'Attendance History' integration settings.
