Use Case
Orah and Informacast work together to provide best in class emergency response. Orah's Emergency Roll module accounts for students in real time while Informacast Scenarios triggers alerts, notifications, and alarm systems within the school.
When an emergency roll is initiated in Orah, a selected Informacast Scenario can be triggered.
Note: You must have an Informacast account and enable Orah from the Informacast App Store for the integration to work.
1. Navigate to the Integration Setup
Navigate to the App Directory within Orah
Select Explore Apps → Integrations.
Click on the InformaCast integration from the list.
2. Start the Connection Process
Click on the InformaCast integration tile to open the summary page.
On the top-right corner, click "Connect to Orah".
You will be redirected to the InformaCast (Singlewire) login page.
3. Authenticate With InformaCast
Enter your InformaCast Email ID, followed by your Password.
After a successful login, you will see a screen requesting approval for the following required scopes:
Managing Scenario Notifications
Managing Scenarios
Managing Notifications (Not sure, we need this, we’ll know once we do the Phase 2 spike)
Managing Users (Not sure, we need this, we’ll know once we do the Phase 2 spike)
Managing Distribution Lists
Click Accept to grant access.
4. Complete the Integration
After accepting the scopes, you will be redirected back to Orah.
The integration will now show as Successfully Connected.
You will see the InformaCast settings screen within Orah.
5. Map Scenarios to Orah Emergency Roll Types
Go to Admin Console → Emergency Roll Settings in Orah.
Edit an Emergency Roll Type.
You will now see a dropdown for InformaCast Scenario under Alerts section.
Choose the scenario you want to associate with that emergency roll type.
Once mapping is completed, Orah will be able to send InformaCast Scenario notifications whenever an emergency roll is initiated.
