Important note: Currently there is an Android app available to parents. iOS users will need to use our mobile-friendly web browser. To access Orah on a mobile device, please open a web browser and log in at app.orah.com after your account has been created. You can save the web page to your home screen to make this look and act like an app.
Connecting to your Child
When you connect with your child you will be able to approve and apply for passes on their behalf. First, your child's school will send you an invitation email like the one below.
If you are connecting to Orah for the first time, simply click the Connect to my child link
The create account option prompts you to fill out a sign-up form. Ensure all your information is correct, agree to the terms and conditions, then click next.
NB; If you are having trouble adding your mobile number, please try to add a + icon and your country code in front of your mobile number. For example; +64 0211111111111
Your account creation is now complete.

Approving your child's pass request
When your child applies for a pass that requires your endorsement, you will receive an email notification asking for your endorsement. To review your child’s pass request, go to the Pending My Endorsement page.
This page will display a list of pass requests pending your approval. Select the request to view the pass details.
Once reviewed, choose to either confirm or decline the pass. You can also add in a message which will be seen by all parties in the pass process. Your child’s school will see if you have given your permission and take this into account when giving the final approval. Once the school has made the final decision you will receive an email notification.
Approving your child's pass request via email
When your child requires your permission for a pass you will receive an email with a link to the pass details.
Simply click the link and review the details within the form and then either confirm or decline the pass request.
Once the school has made the final decision you will be sent a confirmation email.
Applying for a Pass on behalf of your child
To apply for a pass on behalf of your child, select New Pass from the drop-down menu
Select the student and pass type you will like to apply for.
Fill out all the pass information and click request. Your child and the school will be notified of your request. As soon as the school confirms your request you will be sent a confirmation email.
Viewing your child's pass records
Select the profile icon at the top right, click on my students, and then pass history.
Change the date range if desired, and click on the pass for more detail.
If you have trouble getting started:
If you did not receive an invitation e-mail:
• Contact your boarding school staff and check that they have your correct email address on the system
• If they have the correct email address, ask them to resend the invitation
• Check your email spam folder
If you cannot open Orah on your device:
•Orah is designed for modern browsers, please ensure you have the latest version of Google Chrome installed on your device and try again.
