We intend to build comprehensive reports and dashboards features for you to use. And as part of that goal, we are adding more and more functionalities to the reports feature. Previously, we launched four default dashboards: Location and Attendance Dashboard, Pastoral Dashboard, Events Dashboard, and Engagement Dashboard. I hope you have had a chance to check them out. If you have not, I encourage you to head to your Orah app, and under Unify, click on reports. To understand more about what you can use the dashboards for, read our support article here.
☝🏽 Note : The data in Reports and Dashboards takes about 15 mins to show up.
Here is the next part of the release. We are providing you with some customizable options that you can leverage to view the desired data for each widget in your dashboard.
On your reports page, you have a drop-down option on the top to choose what filters you would like to apply at a dashboard level. By default, the dashboard is visible for all student houses and groups within a mixed timeframe. You can choose the group/house you want to see results for. You can also choose a different time period (Today, Last 7 days, and such).
On the top right corner, there is the (settings) icon you can click to switch to edit mode where you can customize the widgets of your choice.
Scroll to the bottom to access more filters that you can apply across all the widgets in the dashboard. The filters available are:
Limit data to the following profiles
All School
‘or’
One or more House AND/OR One or more groups
Who can have access to this dashboard
All Staff or specific staff or House staff
- To edit a particular widget, click on the three dots in the top right corner of any widget. You have the option to change the name of the widget and change the time range. These two filters are available for any widget within any dashboard.
Note: Access permissions can be given to staff users for editing the dashboards/profiles reports.
Inside a widget, here are a few things you can customize.
Match All – provides you with AND functionality – the widget will display the results that match ALL rule criteria Match Any – provides you with OR functionality – the widget will display the results that must match at least ONE of the rule criteria.
For some widgets, you can choose the chart type you would like to view your data as. You can choose between column, stacked, and percentage.
Column charts are one of the most frequently used chart types. A column chart displays data in rectangular bars — the longer the bar, the larger the value. It plots the variable value vertically, and the fixed dimension horizontally.
A variation of it is the stacked column chart. They are a good option when you need to simultaneously observe how each of several variables and their sum change.
Another variation is the percentage stacked column chart. It is intended to display the relationship of constituent parts to the whole.
Some filters are specific to a particular widget. Once you are done selecting the criteria, click on the apply button to see the desired result.
Here are some examples of what you can do with your widgets.
Default widget: Events
By default, the records to display are set to events, and the criteria is MATCH ALL where Status is Opt-in. You can choose from the dropdown other types of records to be displayed, namely Pastoral, Pass, Roll, Gating, Roll Response, Location, and Event Response.
You can add more criteria to narrow down your search results.
You can also choose the maximum number of records that you would like to see.

You can decide how you would like the data to be displayed by selecting your preferred chart type (Column, Stack, Percentage).

Default Widget: Students Attending School Organized Events
You can use this widget to compare the trend over the months. You can also opt to compare it with the previous period ‘or’ last year.
You can choose the data type to be displayed. An example of a data set you can compare is the number of sensitive pastoral records over the past year as compared to last year.

You can add more criteria to narrow down your search results.
Note: Location & attendance reports within each student’s profile can also be customized.
