Steps to Enable Preferred Name Mapping
Navigate to the App Directory
🧭 Navigate : App Directory (left side menu bar) > under the SIS Partners tab > Blackbaud
Select the Student Object
Within the Blackbaud integration, locate the Student object. This controls how student information is imported and mapped into Orah.
Adjust the Name Mapping
By default, Orah may be set to pull the First Name field from Blackbaud.
Update the firstName field to nick_name, first_name
Trigger a manual sync to make this change reflected in your students profile
Save and Sync
After updating the mapping, save your changes. Then, run a sync to update student records in Orah so they reflect preferred names.
