School administrators can view Orah exactly as any active staff member or student does. This makes it easy to troubleshoot issues — like a teacher who can't find their schedule or a student whose dashboard isn't displaying correctly — without back-and-forth messages and screenshots.
How to start an impersonation session
In the Admin Console, go to Staff or Students and find the person.
On their row, open the ⋮ menu. If their account is Active, Impersonate appears at the top of the menu.
Click Impersonate. A new tab opens showing their exact view of Orah. An amber "Viewing as [Name]" banner stays pinned to the top so there's never any doubt about whose account you're in.
Do what you need to. You can take any action they can — mark a roll, approve a pass, check a schedule, and so on.
Click Exit Impersonation in the banner when you're done.
Audit logging and dual attribution
Every impersonation session and every action taken during it is recorded in the Audit Report. Each entry shows dual attribution — the action appears against the user, tagged "(Impersonated by [admin])" — so a proxy session never looks like the user acting on their own. The same appears in the account-level Recent Login Activity and on the person's profile.

Good to know
No setup needed. Every school admin has access — there's nothing to enable and no new permission to configure.
The user isn't interrupted. If they're logged in on their own device, their session keeps running alongside yours.
Proxy sessions have their own timeout. This is separate from the normal session timeout as a safety net.
Scope: Active staff and students only. Parents and contacts aren't covered, and you can't start a second impersonation from inside an existing one.
