Connecting a Checkpoint ID to a device

  1. Sign into the Checkpoint with an Admin account

  2. Open the Checkpoint settings page on an iPad, and then select Account

  3. Select the Checkpoint ID you would like to assign to the account.

The device should now update and apply the settings you have configured in the backend for this Checkpoint ID/ type. You will now see from the web application that the device is connected and online.ย 

๐Ÿ”” Recommended Checkpoint Account Setup

An Admin account is required for initial Checkpoint setup, but we donโ€™t recommend using a personal staff account for ongoing use.

Best practice: create a dedicated Checkpoint account (managed by your ICT/IT team) for each device.

Why:

  • Allows easy re-login if a Checkpoint logs out

  • Avoids dependency on a single staff member

  • Keeps personal accounts separate from shared devices

This ensures Checkpoints can be managed reliably at all times.
