Signing Out From A Scheduled Leave

A guide to Signing a student out on a leave which has already been scheduled

Step 1: From the homeboard, click or hover on the scheduled icon under a student's profile image to access the sign-out option.

Step 2: Select the pass and click on activate pass+-

If the student already has an overlapping pass at that time, Orah will show a time conflict alert with a timeline of both passes and the exact overlap window. From there you can open the existing pass to cancel it, end it, or edit its time — or simply save your new pass anyway if the overlap is intentional.

FAQ: Pass time conflicts

Why am I seeing a conflict alert?
The student you're creating a pass for already has another pass whose time overlaps with the one you're setting up. Orah shows both on a timeline so you can see exactly where they clash.

Will this stop me from saving?
No. The alert is a warning, not a block — you can still save with the overlap showing if that's what you intend.

What can I do about the existing pass?
From the alert, you can open the existing pass and cancel it (if it hasn't started), end it (if it's active), or edit its time to clear the overlap.

For a video walkthrough of this feature, see the changelog announcement.

If you have any questions after reading through, click the blue chat icon at the bottom right-hand corner of this page. This will start a conversation with one of Orah's Team.
