Mood Check Settings

Set up Mood Check from all the settings listed on this dedicated settings page.

🧭 Navigate : Student Care (Nurture) > Mood Checks > Mood Check Settings

All setting under Student Care (Nurture)'s Mood Check can be listed under two major heads :

☝️ Note - If you are unable to see the settings, check your user access. Without proper access, be it admin or a non-admin role, user will not be able to the settings.


Version Settings

Is the face of the face of the Mood Check Settings under the version settings tab. All the settings which can be accessed under version setting are :
-Setting up the versions precedence from high to low.

-How to Add, Edit, Delete a version for mood check setting

-Setting up access fro the students for different versions

-Setting up goals, slider, mood status or mood mapping
-Setting up notes, influences

-Setting up the alerts for words or emotions which are concerning

-Setting up the school hours (available/unavailable hrs) for mood check


🧭 Navigate : Student Care (Nurture) > Mood Checks > Mood Check Settings > Version Settings tab

1.a) Precedence: High to low

Newly added order of precedence for multiple versions setting will display a number on the top left corner of the individual version. This number is the rank, the order of which will prevail over other versions, if a student is assigned to multiple versions. With the help of the three bar under the number, drag and drop the version settings accordingly.

For example, their are 5 versions created by school as show below, Student A is added to 3 version setting of mood check namely High School, Athletics and Student Exchange. In this example, Athletics Group version settings ranked at #2 prevailed over other groups High (#4) and Student Exchange #5 which means settings in the Athletics Group version persisted over other version setting. But when the versions were re-aligned, High School version became #1 from #4 and prevailed over other version settings.

🧭 Navigate : Student Care (Nurture) > Mood Checks > Mood Check Settings > Version Settings


Earlier there were only three versions of mood checks available to schools. The list displays the versions in the precedence order of high, middle and primary. The 3 versions will still be available unless edited/deleted.

☝️ Note - As soon as the versions are realigned, changes in the setting will happen on an instant basis. No saving is required.


1.b) Adding, Editing, Deleting Version Setting


Mood Check Setting have evolved with time. Schools can now create their own version of mood check setting (versus, earlier which had only 3 settings that too by default - High, Middle & Low). Maximum of 10 versions of mood check settings can be created at a time. 3 default version settings High, Middle & Primary school will be still shown in the list in the same order to indicate a basic summary of that version and it precedence order compared to the other versions.

1.c) Version Access Settings

This setting allows schools to set which students have access to the mood check settings. Schools have 3 options to choose from :

  1. All School - if any version setting has this option toggled on, then all the students in the school will have access to Student Care (Nurture)'s Mood Check feature in the Orah student app/webpage across all platform.
    If school doesn't want to have Mood check option available to all students at school, then they can uncheck the 'All School' option to select from 2 other options Houses & Tags. Houses & Tags will only appear once the All School is toggled off.

    1. Houses - after toggling off 'All School' option, schools will have the option to add houses, which will provide access to students in those houses. Both houses and tags could be added at a same time.
      ​

    2. Tags - Along with Houses, schools have the option to add students via 'Tags', which will provide access to all the students added to that tag. Both houses and tags could be added at a same time.

1.d) Question Settings

After providing version access setting, School would need to customise questions which will be displayed to the students when they do a mood check. Below are the options under the question settings :

  • Show student personal goal within mood check

  • Q1. How do you feel ?

    • Slider settings

      • Slider Name - Energy, Happiness or Pleasantness

      • Slider Style - 2 Levels or 5 levels

      • Editing Slider Image

    • Mood Status Settings

      • Choosing from 75 emotions

  • Q2. What made you feel that way ?

    • Influence settings

      • Edit Influence Name

      • Change Influence Image

      • Delete Influence

      • Add New Influence

  • Q3. Would you like to add some notes on that ?




1.e) Records Of Concern

Records of concern is a way by which school can identify, flag and notify a mood check by emotions/words as a concern. Student responses to mood check with the matching emotion or word will be added to the concern list notifying the assigned member/user at the school.

☝️ Note - Record of concern settings recently has been moved out from under 'Additional Settings' to the respective new Version Settings of mood checks.
​Old - Mood Check Settings > Additional Settings > Records of Concern
​New - Mood Check Settings > Version Settings (respective) > Records of Concern

  • Toggle Record of Concern - ON/OFF

  • Select emotions

  • Keywords in the additional note

  • Automatically suggest support staff to students

  • Notifications - When to notify? / Who to notify?

1.f) Mood Check Availability Time

The mood check availability time is the period of time during which students can log their mood check. Their are two options :
​Any Time - a student can log mood check any time without restrictions.

Specific Time - School can select week days and time, which will make mood check available to students according to that timeframe.

The availability time is set to Any Time by default. Students would not receive prompts to log their mood check outside of this time period. The availability time is the same for all students, regardless of their grade level or school. There are two options
​


Additional Settings

Additional Settings is the second face of mood check setting. All the settings which can be accessed under additional setting are :

-Setting up prompts triggered by events or recurrence patterns

-Managing comments and it's notifications
-Students can be excluded, and a can be added disclaimer at the start of Mood Check

2.a) Mood Check Prompt Settings

The prompt setting for Mood Check are designed to enhance student engagement and communication while considering the need to avoid excessive notifications that could lead to disengagement. By tailoring these prompts based on specific events and recurrence patterns, schools can effectively encourage student participation and well-being.

  1. General Recurrence Settings :
    -Daily
    -Weekly

  2. Prompt based on events
    -When a pastoral note is logged
    -When student location is updated
    -When a roll check is completed

2.b) Mood Check Comment Settings

This section allows different options available for controlling who can comment on mood check records and who receives notifications when a comment is added. By implementing these settings, school can for follow up on a mood check, enhance communication between students and staff, fostering a positive and supportive environment.

2.c) Exclude students from the mood check feature

This setting allows school to exclude students from mood check. An admin user can simply type the name and select the individual student to exclude. By default the disclaimer is disabled.

2.d) Show disclaimer message to students at beginning of mood check

This setting allows school to add a disclaimer to mood check, which is visible to all the students having access to mood check. School can write their own disclaimer. By default the disclaimer is disabled.
